The carriage tours today were really fun and educational. Who knew that the largest slave riot that almost took place, almost took place in Charleston. It was derailed before it ever happened. Or that Blackbeard, the pirate, once held the entire town hostage, by cutting off it's seaport, to collect a ransom of medicine.
Those kind of lessons are invaluable. However, the carriage company insist in putting a value on them and the rides were not free. Fortunately, we received a very generous gift from Kendall and Lilly Bond which covered our costs. They are great supporters of Spirit and we think they are the best. If you get a chance, thank them for helping us out and let them know we love them.
