On the Trail

Well, we made it back to Texas. Yippeeeee! We arrived in Beaumont to find a really neat downtown church in the First United Methodist Church. We have seen some unbelievable neat churches this year and this one was no exception. We performed in an auditorium on a stage. From that standpoint, it made it very easy.

The first cast performed this time. They did their usual good job and the crowd seemed to like it. In fact, their youth pastor informed us that after it was over, their youth approached her about their program doing Godspell. She actually has the musical score in her possession and they will start this next week in building a program. We are looking for someway we can help them get started. If you have any ideas, please let us know.

The sponsors have been working on individual awards for your children. We attempt to find something that fits what they have done for Spirit or an event that has happened on Tour. Some are funny, others are just the plain truth! I think we've come up with some good and well deserved awards.

We're looking forward to getting to Fredericksburg tomorrow. We will have several familiar faces in the crowd and that is always a good thing. We will also be staying in host homes. A lot of work has gone in to securing those homes for your kids. I certainly look forward to this experience as most of the kids really enjoy it.

I'll be staying out at a ranch in Fredericksburg, and therefore, will not have internet access. Therefore, this may be the last you hear from me until we get home. I'll just have to see what I can do. Thanks for your prayers and your support.
