On the Trail

Today finds us leaving Florida and arriving at the beach. This has probably been the most laid back, not behind schedule, day that we have had. Of course, everyone is looking forward to the Senior Service tonight. Not one of the 53 people in our group received their wake up call this morning! I'd have to say someone at the front desk dropped the ball. Oh well, we really didn't have to be anywhere at a certain time.

The beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama was awesome. It looks a lot like Destin, Florida with about 1/10th of the people. We had plenty of room to roam on acres of white sand. The waves were great and there was shopping near by. (Parents, be prepared to receive some sea shells as a souvinier!) We swam, skim boarded, played football, etc...for quite sometime.

We should get a good meal tonight, along with plenty of rest. Tomorrow we head to Texas. God Bless Texas. I'm looking forward to Beaumont and Fredericksburg. It should be good!

Allie Cat,

Boo hoo! I'm so lonesome for you. So lonesome that I didn't even get offended at your idea for a souvenir for me!

I took your bro and sis to the mall today (I'm still wondering what in the world possessed me to do that) and ran into some of your friends. They're missing you, too, and loving all the text messages you're sending!

The pics look like you guys are having an absolute blast. Unbelieavable scenery, incredible architecture...what an opportunity!

I'm sure I speak for all your mamas when I say, "Hurry home!" AND the best Father's Day presents you all can give your daddies will be seeing your sweet faces again on Sunday.

Godspeed!
