On the Trail

Today has been packed and boy, am I bushed. We left out early this morning and visited a plantation. It was very impressive. It's hard for me to get my hands around how wealthy those folks must have been back in their day. This was a rice plantation and was complete with all kinds of farm animals. We attempted to stage a photo with a "sheep on the right, and the goats on the left." Believe me when I say that is much easier said than done. We even compared our little piggies to theirs. You decide who has the better end of that deal.

We then headed to the beach for a little while and had lunch. This is not Carribean type water. But, none the less, we all had a good time. We get another shot at a beach day in Alabama. It's suppose to be better.

We then headed back to the hotel to clean up for supper. We went into the Market district of downtown Charleston and took a "historic carriage tour." That was neat. It's neat to see buildings and churches built in the early 1700's. Heck, in San Angelo, I'm just impressed with how old the Hemphill Wells building is. After the ride, we all went to eat at the dining facility of your choice. I had seafood!

Now we are at the hotel and going to bed! We have a big day tomorrow and have to have our stuff at the bus at 6:30 a.m.! We'll see you down the road.
