You learn a lot on a trip like this. The following is a summary of just a few observations I have made.
1. When your kids leave home, they don’t really leave their friends. Some of them are on the phone on pretty much a constant basis.
2. It’s not uncommon for 80% of the kids to have earpieces in their ears at any one time on the bus. Therefore, it is not their fault if they miss an announcement.
3. Those of them with phones sleep with them in their bed. I don’t know why, they just do.
4. If one person wants a bottle of water from the front of the bus, they ALL want a water bottle from the front of the bus.
5. “Get back in your room and don’t come back out!” means, well, nothing really.
Just so you know.
