What a Show!

I wish I could share with you all the compliments I've received for the Spirit Renewed performance. In some ways, it's hard to believe that a bunch of regular knuckleheads can come together and put out a quality product like we saw this weekend. I'm sure each of you will have your favorite memories, as do I. I'll list my top 5 highlights and lowlights.

Lowlights:

5. Whatever that stain was on the carpeted stairs leading up to the top level. I didn't want to ask anyone, but it sure was unappetizing.
4. The crashing of the microphone on the stage when somebody (allegedly Brett) caught the chord on there foot during an exit.
3. Rebeccas' microphone being on "mute" during her duet with Hannah. That was some bad luck. .............Or was it?
Famous 10
2. Lucas Paul's dancing. He has other gifts.
Rave
1. When I burned the "bejeebies" out of my finger in the kitchen grabbing a pot without a pot holder!

Highlights:

5. Spirit's enthusiasm. They don't always show it in practice and I was nervous it wouldn't be there. However, the energy level was great.
4. Jacob's Summertime hiest of the four buff gymnist. You go young man!
3. The various solos and duets. I think Edwin could win that American Idol show. He sang his song better than the guy that sings that song. Several of them were extremely impressive.
American Idol
2. (Tie) The Waterloo song, including the choreography, and the "angels" floating on stage. Matt looked like a fairy angel or something.
1. The great crowd that attended and the $11,000 they helped us raise. I think they got their moneys worth.
St. Patrick's Day
I'm sort of sorry it's over, because I enjoy that show. However, I too am looking forward to Godspell. We'll contine working toward putting together another high quality presentation and hope for the best.

Hang in there. In three months we'll be leaving for tour!
