Spirit Renewed

It's that time! Spirit Renewed will be presented on March 3rd and 4th. For those of you who may not be familiar with it, it is a variety type show put on by Spirit. Sometimes, other guest are involved. There may or may not be someone famous this year! It's my favorite show we do as the kids are allowed to do some things that are different than their normal routine.

This years show is Listen to the Music. Tony is preparing some great arrangements that you will like, including a little sumptin, sumptin from Mama Mia! You won't want to miss that.

Spirit Renewed is also our major fundraiser for the year. Last year we raised right at enough money to pay for our bus. That is a significant dollar amount to us. We'd like to give you parents an option to help us. You can either (1) help with Spirit Renewed or (2) give us $15,000 to pay for this years bus. It doesn't matter to us. (Although, if you decide to pay for the bus, we will agree to name the bus after you for the duration of the trip. We are not too proud to do that). Some of you have previously volunteered for certain committess. Others of you have not. If you have an interest, please let us know.

The eigth grade parents, and some others, will be preparing the meal. We still need help with set up, serving, clean up, and decorating. We will also need everyone's help with Silent Auction items. This is a big portion of the event. No, this is not your chance to get rid of all the junk in your garage that Christmas in April refused! The most popular items are things which have little cost, but solicit good bids. For example, a weekend at your place in the country, dinner for eight cooked up by you and your friends, or a free housecleaning by a group of our youth. Gift baskets have also been popular. Be creative. Put some items and gift cards in a basket, surround it with "phoo-phoo" and watch it go. Craft items, such as Pottery Ranch Spirit related items do very well also. Contact Ginny Fuchs if you have any questions.

This is a very nice event. Tables will be sold as well as individual tickets. Get some friends to come and see your little punkin' perform. Every guest I have ever brought has gone away very impressed and thankful for the opportunity.

Keep it real.

Little Boze
